When did you join TCM? I joined TCM in October 2016. I previously worked in central Illinois for a union contacting firm


What is the most rewarding part of your job? The most rewarding part of my job is helping to build buildings and make our customers happy. To me, construction is part of the American story and heritage - the idea of working together to build something special


Describe your typical day at TCM. As a Field Operations Manager, my daily duties include:

  • Scheduling / Creating Master Schedules - Man Power Management

  • Training & Mentoring Job-Site Foremen, Participating in New Hires & Interviews & Team Building

  • Establishing Best Practices for Field Leadership

  • Tracking Progress / Timeliness of multiple ongoing projects & managing field personnel and Foremen

  • Working hand in hand with project management and executive leaders to develop and improve operations procedures and systems

  • Client communications and client interviews on select bid projects

Where did you attend high school and/or college? I attended high school at Dunlap High School, in Illinois. I also went through the carpenters’ union apprenticeship program following high school


What are your hobbies? Hunting, fishing, and especially hiking. I have hiked much of the Pacific Northwest region


What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?  I love to do woodworking


What makes TCM the best specialty contractor in this region of the United States? Outside of my grandfather’s family business, no other place I have ever worked has the level of integrity I have found at TCM. Jon does a great job of establishing and maintaining a culture of integrity
